Advanced Cabinetry has been servicing Victoria for nearly a decade.
The company was founded by Ballarat man Clint Smith, who identified a niche in the market for superior cabinetry that could be designed with the client’s specific needs in mind and manufactured locally.
This furniture-maker by trade had strong industry experience after working for cabinet-makers in and around Ballarat for several years. His experience told him there was no-one servicing the upper end of the local market, so set out to be a leader in innovatively designed and manufactured cabinetry. He also wanted to offer top quality customer service - an aspect of the experience often overlooked.
Naming the business Advanced Cabinetry to set himself apart from others operating in the middle of the market. He started out operating from a four-car garage in Ballarat in 1999, where he worked for three years. Even in those early days it was clear there was a need for superior quality cabinetry. It didn’t take long for word to spread about his custom-made cabinetry and as he expected, demand increased exponentially. In 2001 Clint started employing other local specialists so he could keep up with his growing client list.
Then, in 2003, buoyed by strong local support from both private home builders, renovators and a growing number of loyal builders, Clint bit the bullet and built an extensive custom-designed factory in Ballarat’s Fussell Street to house the growing business. Having the extra space enabled Advanced Cabinetry to employ even more staff and invest in additional specialist machinery.
Two years later they built a large showroom attached to the factory to house examples of their specialised kitchen, bathroom and laundry designs, enabling customers to browse for design innovations and finishes that best suited their needs.
Today, the family-run business is continually investing in cutting-edge technology, and uses top of the line machinery. It has grown to be one of the biggest operators in its field in the Ballarat region, and is a leading force in custom-made cabinetry designed to suit your lifestyle.
Advanced Cabinetry takes great pride in the fact that it follows safe work practices and is an employer of choice and a strong supporter of the apprenticeship scheme. It’s also working towards sustainable business practices to reduce power usage and improve its recycling methods.
